The Bundesliga I is the top division of the German football league. It consists of eighteen teams, who play each other home and away every season. The season runs from early August to late May, with a six-week winter break. Each week, one game is played on Friday evening, six games are played on Saturday and two games are played on Sunday. A variety of full-time result and in-play bets are available on all games, including pick the score, half-time/full-time doubles, head-to-head, total goal score, half-time result, half-time/full-time result, first goal scorer, player will/will not score, number of cards, red card in the match and quickest goal.

At the end of the season the team with the most points are crowned champions of Germany. In addition, the top two teams qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, with the third-placed team entering the third qualifying round. The teams who finish 4th and 5th qualify for the Europa league. The bottom two teams are automatically relegated to Bundesliga 2. The team finishing in 16th (3rd last) in Bundesliga I plays the team finishing 3rd in Bundesliga 2 in a two-legged match. The winner of that tie plays in Bundesliga I the following season and the loser plays in Bundesliga 2.

The current Bundesliga I Champions are VfL Wolfsburg, who won it for the first time last season at long odds. The club with the most Bundesliga I titles (twenty) is Bayern Munich, as such they are always one of the favourites to win the title. Other previous champions include VfB Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, Borussia Dortmund and Hamburg. Although they have never won the title, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04 are also strong contenders and could be worth a bet for a Champions League place at least.
