The Grand National is always a huge event in the annual horse racing calendar and it encourages more people than ever to place a bet and enjoy the fun. This year should hopefully be just as exciting and controversy always surrounds the event. Mon Mome has received considerably lower odds with 25/1 available at the moment, suggesting that the bookies have taken note of the 2009 performance and accepted that this could be a horse to watch. However, betting on the Grand National can always be a bit of a lottery when false starts, the weather and mid race pile ups come in to play.
